A little bit about me:
I’m a very blessed mommy of five wonderful children, who teach me more and more each day as I strive [albeit imperfectly] to raise them in a Christ-centered home. I love being a mother! I graduated from BYU in Marriage, Family, & Human Development, with an English minor. I’ve been married for 10 years to my best friend and college sweetheart, Alex, who I met randomly on the bus during my sophomore year at BYU. I love my family!
I grew up in a small town in central Utah, the oldest of four girls. Recently Alex and I relocated to the Midwest, which has been a fun new adventure. I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I love it! I served as a missionary for 18 months in the Philippines, which was one of the most life-changing, challenging, rewarding things I’ve ever done. It was a very immersive experience, culturally & spiritually, which changed my perspectives on a lot of things, and through it I came to have a deep love the Filipino people and culture.
I absolutely love to write! I created this blog as an outlet to share some of my favorite recipes, ideas, and to blog about some of my thoughts/insights on various subjects, mostly gospel-related stuff. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, singing, Tagalog, cross-country running, getting to know people and learning about people’s life stories, & anything to do with child development.
